The Aftermath

I've never mentioned this before, but from a few years ago, I entirely devoted myself to travel. Last year I went on an adventure that I had dreamt of ever since my first inklings of wanderlust and my return has been an everlong period of post-holiday depression. This is also the reason for my stale blog. Coming home from the US has been filled with -
Bed ridden days..

Bath and Body Works candle delights..

Classic television programs..

And lots of bad food. Unfortunately, nothing I have eaten has even compared to the likes of In N Out..
Oh. I do hope to return soon.

  2. I love Bath and Body candles, and Vanilla Bean Noel is of my favorite scents from there :) In N Out is by all means amazing, but if you ever get a chance to visit the US again, you should try The Habit. Best fast food burger I have yet to try! :)

    1. I've never even heard of The Habit! Wish I'd heard that whilst I was there. Thanks for the tip, Em!

  3. I can relate so much to this. I went to Cambodia and returned very sad and unmotivated to do anything but go back again, and that was only after two weeks overseas! Hope you fall back into a happy place soon :) x

  4. You would not believe how much I would like to visit the USA. I'm a bit intimidated by it actually, such a huge country would overwhelm me in one big gulp. How did you go about with your first trip there? I need advice from an expert! x
Also great to see that you're battling it with HIMYM - it's always a good, hearty laugh!

    1. Love How I Met Your Mother, but I'm so not ready for it to end!!
Rachel, I cannot tell you enough, it was the greatest few weeks of my entire life. If you have any specific questions, you can email me and I'll be so happy to talk with you or plan with you. I can talk about it for the longest time!! I hope you do plan & go soon! I'm sure you'll be paying many revisits afterwards too! Ah!!

  6. Post holiday depression is the worst :( The only way I've found to combat it is to plan and go on more trips, so it's a vicious cycle, really. Now that I've travelled a bit I dont think I'll ever be content with life again!

    1. It really is a vicious cycle. We've just planned another holiday, but I'm still hung up on the old one. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN!!!
