Carnival Splendour Cruise Experience (#49)
Photo dump from our family cruise back in January 2020, where we visited New Caledonia and Vanuatu, and checked off #49 on my bucket list! A few years ago, a large group of my family went on a Royal Caribbean cruise to the same islands - and after hearing them rave about the wonderful experience that it was, we all suddenly decided it was at the top of our list of things to do. Keeping an eye out for a good deal, we came across the Carnival Splendour cruise for an amazing price - especially good for all 54 of our family that attended :)
It was an amazing experience on the cruise. It's like being on your own private island; budget edition haha! As you can't leave the boat except on dock days, you come up with ways to find your own enjoyment, attending shows, swimming or sunbathing, or, in our case, running into one of your 54 family members on the ship!
Common themes of our time on the ship: Sea-sickness. Perpetually hungry. "Where are you? I'm on Level 3." Zero coordination. "What time is it?" Kind workers. Family time. Endless joy.
