Wagaya
Two food posts in a row, I know. But food is good!
This time we hit up Wagaya - a Japanese restaurant that brought back a flood of memories from Japan's restaurant Uobei. Not to mention, upon arriving, they scream out 'Welcome!' in Japanese just like they did in Japan. Oh, the memories!

A Day in Newtown

Angus and Julia Stone
You know when you listen to an artist(s) religiously, then forget about them. But now they're touring, so you buy tickets for nostalgia's sake and then all of a sudden, you're head over heels for them all over again.
Angus & Julia Stone took over my iPod for a very long time in my life, and I refused to listen to much else. Last night, I attended their concert now that they're (finally) united and it was magic.
I didn't take many photos, because I realised recently: I never look back on concert photos & foccusing on your camera takes away from the experience. Obvious but I was oblivious.
Their music left the audience dead-silent and in awe while they played, and erupting in whistles and applaud quickly after. I've attended quite a lot of concerts I'd say, and I've never seen a show so musically raw and musically focussed. I was in awe of the experience and if you get a chance, I'd highly recommend seeing them live.
Also, I intended on doing an outfit post showing off my kimono, but I got shy. Next time... I hope.

Hurricane's
February seems to be the popular month for birthdays, as I find myself celebrating one every other day!
This time, instead of at-home-baking, we went out to Hurricane's for dinner and a stroll.
Straight from work, waitin' for a mate...

After waiting too long, everyone finally arrived and we ordered.
I went for the Chicken Burger...
...which involved the brilliance of onions, pickles, sprouts, avocado, tomato and a generous chicken portion.
I had actually asked for baked potato instead of fries, but the waitress seemed to have forgotten that. I'm not really one to complain at restaurants, so obv I had to eat them.
And the rest of the guests shared ribs - beef and pork. We also ordered a Mediterranean salad to share.
Apologies for the poor photo, but everyone was hungry.. including myself! Overall, Hurricane's was good. The staff are friendly, my food was average- but everybody else says you HAVE to get the racks. I'm not really one for rib-racks, so I can't comment personally, but all the tables around us had also ordered racks so I guess there's that for you.
We then went for a night stroll around Darling Harbour, which was still love-crazy for Valentine's Day. I think they left it up because they knew we were coming! After some Instagramming, more photos, and Lindt Cafe glory, it was time to call it a night. And a massive Happy Birthday to my love.
